The diagram generator consumes flat analysis-<kind>-<asil>[--<sink>].json files from the analyzer, which carry no depth encoding (and an all-sinks cfg merges group + leaf sinks, so it has no single depth). Rather than sniff the payload or print a wrong per_group/per_leaf, the path uses the neutral any segment. Not a valid analyzer / symbol-selection depth.
