SymbolVerificationMode

Symbol verification used by stigAnalysisP6RunAnalyzer before native analysis starts.

Two verification modes (orthogonal to where the check fires):

  • SymbolVerificationMode.CHECK_REQUIRED_ANALYZER_SYMBOLS: strict — every symbol that the run-plan generator discovered (sources / sinks / entry points in required_symbols.json) MUST be defined-or- declared in the linked module.ll. Missing any of them means the analyzer won't be able to seed taint or find a sink.

  • SymbolVerificationMode.CHECK_ALL_UNDEFINED_SYMBOLS: implementation-completeness check — uses LLVM use-def analysis plus llvm-nm --undefined-only to enumerate unresolved symbols that remain referenced by the final module. Classifies them into allowed external symbols versus unresolved application symbols. Missing definitions are ProblemSeverity.HIGH findings; analysis may continue provisionally under the configured failure threshold. A run-plan symbol absent even as a declaration still prevents that run from being constructed.
