llvmVersion

Target LLVM/Clang version for flag translation. Controls which Clang flags are generated and which GCC-isms are translated.

Must match LLVM_MAJOR in stig-code-analyzer/scripts/pins.env (currently 18) — that's the LLVM major the analyzer is linked against. Mixing clang-N output with an LLVM-M analyzer causes silent debug-info metadata drift; the diagram pipeline's source labelling then degrades to opcode-only names without an obvious error. The validateDebugInfoCoverage postcondition in StigBuildLlvmModuleTask catches the gross failure mode (no -g at all) but won't catch subtle cross-version skew.
