Get started

Follow this path from a clean checkout to a checked, navigable specification:

1. Install STIG and its supported JDK and native-analysis prerequisites.

2. Choose an example project, then start a project from the public template.

3. Open the project in IntelliJ IDEA for navigation, refactoring, and live rule feedback.

4. Optionally install the Codex plugin for version-matched $stig:specification, $stig:source-analysis, and $stig:project workflows.

5. Choose a task in STIG workflows, then use the recommended CI workflow when the project is ready for shared report generation.

Continue with Author specifications with CREATE. If an element has C or C++ implementation, follow Analyze source code. Reports explains how to generate, review, and publish the combined result.
